ATP Automotive Y-784 Transhift Cable

The ATP Automotive Y-784 Transhift Cable has received mixed feedback from customers, showcasing a variety of experiences. Some users commend its fitting precision and functionality, noting that it works effectively for their vehicles, particularly the 1995 Ford E-150 Econoline van with a C-6 transmission. These customers find the product to be a reliable alternative at a competitive price, especially praising Amazon for its quick shipping. Conversely, other reviewers express dissatisfaction, highlighting that the cable is not up to par with the original OEM product. A recurring issue noted is the sleeve's design, which is approximately 1/2 inch shorter than the OEM version. This flaw leads to kinking when shifting into lower gears, resulting in an inconvenience that requires users to reach under the dashboard for adjustment. Additionally, some customers criticize the Construction materials, specifically wishing the ends of the cable were made from metal instead of plastic, indicating a preference for more durability. In summary, while the ATP Automotive Y-784 Transhift Cable may serve as a budget-friendly alternative for some, it suffers from quality concerns that may lead others to seek out the original OEM counterpart for better performance and reliability. **
