It also comes with a hole on the outside to secure it with a line. The device is designed and manufactured in Thailand by US Navy veterans and passionate divers. One customer who bought the product reported that it flooded after a week of diving, resulting in his personal locator beacon being activated inadvertently and the other contents of the canister being soaked in water. However, other customers praised the product for being a convenient housing to hold an ACR satellite beacon. They also noted its ruggedness and the fact that it can withstand depths of up to 135 ft without leaking. One customer also used it to carry his VHF radio to 130ft, and it worked perfectly.
