Although the pan appears to be non-stick, the users recommend applying grease or oil for the pizzas. This pan is excellent and cooks evenly, producing a great pie, according to some customers. However, others feel that it is overpriced and not sturdy enough. Several reviewers complained about the anodized coating overlap, which creates a seam that is both noticeable and sharp. It is challenging to get pizzas out of the pan, and the seam makes it very hard to clean. One customer had to sand down the seam surgically. Another buyer had to return the pan twice because of the coating overlap issue. Despite complaints about workmanship, several customers recommend the Chef Pomodoro Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Pan.
