With its true RMS sensing and auto-ranging features, this clamp-meter provides accurate readings for both linear and non-linear loads, regardless of the waveform. It has a clamp that can measure AC current up to 1,000A and DC current up to 1,500A.
The clamp is designed to fit around conductors up to 48mm in diameter, allowing for easy and non-intrusive current measurement. In addition to current measurement, the AEMC 407 can also measure AC and DC voltage up to 1,000V, frequency up to 20kHz, and resistance up to 100kΩ. This makes it a versatile tool for a wide range of electrical measurements. But the AEMC 407 doesn't stop there.
It also offers advanced power monitoring and analysis capabilities. It can measure total harmonic distortion (THD), analyze individual harmonics up to the 25th order, and calculate power factor to determine the efficiency of an installation. It can even measure single- and three-phase real power up to 3,000kW, reactive power up to 1,500kVAr, and apparent power up to 1,500kVA.
With its data recording function, the AEMC 407 allows you to store up to 1,000 measurements for later analysis. It comes with a wireless adapter for easy communication with a PC, and includes DataView software for downloading measurements and generating reports. The software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8. The AEMC 407 is designed for convenience and ease of use.
It features a three-line LCD with backlight for visibility in low light conditions, and the backlight automatically turns off after two minutes to conserve battery life. The meter operates on four AA batteries and turns off automatically after 10 minutes of non-use.
