Carlson Pet Products Door & Stair Gates 0930 B DS Editorial Review
The Carlson 29.536.5 Extra Wide Dog Gate with Small Pet Door has garnered positive feedback from pet owners who appreciate its stability, ease of installation, and thoughtful design. This gate is praised for effectively managing access for both large dogs and smaller pets, making it particularly useful in multi-pet households. Many users found both the main gate and the integrated small pet door convenient, allowing cats to pass through while denying access to larger dogs. Installation is generally straightforward, though it might require a few minutes to achieve the right fit. Customers emphasize the sturdy Construction, noting that it holds well against walls and remains secure even when pets attempt to push against it. The gate’s adjustable width allows it to fit a variety of spaces, including narrow doorways and standard bedroom doorframes, making it a versatile solution for various home layouts. The handle design has also received favorable mentions, being user-friendly and equipped with a red locking feature that adds an extra layer of security, though not all users find it necessary to engage. The ability to install the gate with permanent wall brackets for maximum safety at stair tops was highlighted, contributing to its reputation as a reliable barrier. However, potential buyers should Consider their pets carefully; while most users are happy with its performance, a few noted that smaller and clever dogs might find ways to access through the gate or the small pet door. Overall, the Carlson Extra Wide Dog Gate is well-regarded for its quality and functionality, with many pet owners expressing a willingness to recommend it to others looking for effective pet containment solutions. **
