Customers confirm that it works on the exterior of washers and dryers, on painted metal, and on cast iron tablesaws. However, it does not work on bobbin cases that cannot be rinsed off. One customer suggests that it is beneficial to soak the rusty item in pickling vinegar for five days and use a steel brush before applying this rust remover. A majority of customers were happy and satisfied that it removed rust effectively from their metal items. Some customers did experience leaks from the bottle, and in some cases, it ate away at the paint on the item. Though maintenance is required to permanently keep rust away, the product did its job well. **
